Children are developing social life from birth and progress in this development, in gradually expanding ways, throughout their lives. The child from the ages of 3-6 has a need to be a part of a small social community and the Children’s House has many supports for them. Through the conditions of the prepared environment, Dr. Montessori observed a phenomenon she called Social Cohesion.
